I am sure it is really obvious where to find this but I have looked and looked with no luck. Since the upgrade when we close a ticket there is an auto email that goes out with 'service ticket close' in the body of the email. We don't have auto responders turned on for closing tickets - could you please tell me where to find this to turn it off? Thanks Kathy

Now I know that I can modify the code manually to support this, but it's a bit of a pain to do on every upgrade, so I was wondering if there was any chance of supporting this feature in the core code.
If it's not, what other alternatives are there for implementing this? Plugins/Extensions?

In Cerberus 5.1, I'm seeing customer followup replies being created as new threads instead of properly being merged into the existing thread.
I have all the source for both of the customer's emails. I assume the most important line is this one in the customer's followup reply:

Given the customer's followup reply had this message header, I am amazed Cerberus felt a new ticket was needed.

Has this been fixed? If not, what additional info can I provide to help?

This is more of a warning than a request for help, as my resolution for this is to have my workers update their workspaces manually, but...

I just upgraded from the latest cerb4 to 5.1 and I had a minor issue with workspaces. Any filter on a workspace that had to do with a worker (i.e. Owner=me) was changed to "in 474" or another number. I have to recreate the Owner filter in each workspace.

During the upgrade process, is there any way to fix this for the next person who has this issue? I believe it is too late for me, but some others may get very annoyed by this...

Thanks!

Today I've upgraded from stable 5.0.1 to stable 5.1 (Build 2010082401). Here's some problems which I've encountered:
1. My old column "Worker" in any search/view disappeared. If I add column Owners instead of Worker, its always empty. Why?
2. Subtotals/Filter presets is in place of Overview which we heavily used. According to http://wiki.cerb5.com/wiki/Filter_Presets_and_Subtotals documentation If I save filter preset with status and worker lists then subtotals contents will change. But this is not happens: i.e. worker subtotals is always empty, status subtotals contains only opened tickets count and group subtotals contains only unassigned totals count.

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure but there was a checkbox and next to it was 'in 0' or 'in 512', just FYI. I removed that filter and added the 'owner' filter and things seemed to work OK.

Hi,

Some other weird things we miss or found useful in previous versions:

1) Normally I could click on properties for a ticket, after replying, and when I would like to resume the conversation for example, after 7 days. Now I can click on edit and let it open or close, but not set a date when to resume, as I get when replying: When would you like to resume this conversation?

2) The snippets where a great invention, also the fast search option above the snippets, and then click on the snippet link to insert. The search option is gone.

3) Worker notifcations on every ticket reply, which takes time an annoys, but this is another thread.

I need your help. We have a partner (for example, mailer@partner.com) that sends to our mailbox (cerberus@company.com) notifications. I need to make some marks in the notifications and reply to another e-mail (save@company.com). I need to change recipient's address each time from mailer@partner.com to save@company.com manually. Maybe it possible to do automatically (only in case if recipient is mailer@partner.com) ??

I have my mail system handling/deciding what is spam instead of Cerberus (so I did not train Cerberus to decide properly what is spam and what is not). I found that sometimes watcher notifications were not being sent and could not figure out why for a while. Eventually I opened up the code and found this:

This is non-obvious behavior. It should be documented somewhere or removed or an option added to disable it or something such IMO. With option added to modify what spam score is "obvious" being the best choice, in my opinion.

I've tried sending messages from Cerberus to an e-mail address also managed by cerberus, like if one group manager sent a message to another group.
Looks like 2 tickets are generated in the DB. One for the sent message and another for the received one. But only the received is shown.

Maybe you can point me in implementing some changes that would allow sending internal messages..

using 5.0.1

I've had a chance to digest some of the design changes related to "Links" that have recently been announced for 5.1:

Cerberus Helpdesk Blog:...

I've had a chance to digest some of the design changes related to "Links" that have recently been announced for 5.1:

Cerberus Helpdesk Blog: Preview! Links

At first, I hated the fact that "Owners" was now replacing "Assignments" on Tickets, Tasks, and Time Tracking Entries, but now I think I just have a small problem with the design change and a bigger problem with the terminology.

I dislike the use of the term "Owner" in these contexts. I'm all for genericizing terms when appropriate, but in my opinion:

1) Tickets and tasks are more properly "Assigned" to one or more Workers ultimately responsible for getting them closed/completed, not "Owned" by them. Bear in mind that I've never been especially fond of the term "Next Worker," either (I get it, it just bugs me).

2) Time tracking entries have a "Worker" who did the work, not an "Owner." When I look at a time tracking entry, I want to know the answer to two questions: what was done in the time specified, and who did it? The use of the term "Owner" is just odd here.

Furthermore, I'm not clear about how the elimination of "Next Worker" affects ticket workflow. Although I don't currently use it myself, I see the usefulness of the automatic reassignment (or deassignment) of tickets that sit unworked for a certain period of time. Has that gone away in 5.1?

Is there a way to export Address Book items?

I see an import with CSV, can that be reversed?

We got an Exchange-like server with LDAP capabilities which I want to populate. If I remember correctly, there's a hack/plugin floating about to let Cerb query an LDAP server so I can marry them back together.

Aside from SQL dumps, is there an export somewhere I'm overlooking?
