How much longer can you delay delivery on time tracking. It seems like your making a concerted effort to drag your feet and not deliver this feature after repeated requests from the community to the contrary.
How many others are begining to feel this way?

You know, Euriska, it's not like we sit around the office and say "Hey, that new time-tracking feature is great. We should wait a while longer before we let people try it out, though." Nor do we expect that people will stop asking for it if only we ignore them long enough.
There's no ignoring going on, and there's no effort, concerted or otherwise, being made to delay time tracking. I'm really sorry you feel like we're acitvely disregarding community input, but there's no magic wand we can wave and say "Abracadabra" and have time tracking spring fully featured into the codebase.

We asked for Time Tracking what do you give us ... You rewrite the setup screen to better support the plugins and eventually Time Tracking.
We asked for Time Tracking what do you give us .... You restore the old functionality of the knowledge base.
So how bout if we stop crying about how busy you guys are and begin to focus on Time Tracking. I would think since October 2007 even a poor time tracking plugin could have been written. Why your reply alone could have been several lines of code towards the plugin. Hildy this is anything but personal, but after nearly seven months we should be making a little progress and as a paying customer were not just not seeing it.

Is there any time tracking in V4? I was thinking of upgrading but we use this function everyday in V3. I was only extolling today to our staff how important Time Tracking is for our revenue.
Am I missing something; does V4 have no time tracking method at all? Is there an ETA?

In version 4, time tracking has not been implemented as of yet. We are planning on implementing it, but are still working out exactly how we want it implemented.
@euriska It would be much more helpful for us if you were to explain exactly what you envision time tracking doing for your company and how you think it would be best be implemented. Including how it would tie into tickets, how it would be viewed in searches, and any other things that would be useful for your organization. This is something that our company does not use, so its something we have to rely on customer feedback to implement.

I would like to see the time tracking system include
Date
Worker - should allow for multiple workers
Labor Used Hours/Minutes
Billable / Non Billiable / Warranty
Labor Rate - Each worker should have a labor rate assigned to them just like their job title. This should be set from the workers tab.
Comments - Specfic to each workers time tracking entry.
SLA - You should be able to select the SLA that this was worked under
Company - You should be able to select the Company that this was worked under
Exportable - to an app outside of cerberus
You should be able to select whether to publish the number of hours and rate out into the ticket where the tickets requester can see it.

Sorry for the duplicate post; and thanks for your answers. We'll definitely be eagerly waiting for the plugin....
bcavish: is there any chance that you can do 2 phases:
1) add the FIELDS for time tracking in the php code, and the tables in the database
2) build the reports later
so that the data can start collecting already, and we could build reports of our own, reading into the tables, while you are working on adding the rest of code inside the plugin?...

At an absolute minimum (allowing me to upgrade right now), I just need 'billable time' and 'actual time worked', along with a report like what you have now.
In the near future, it would be nice if I could customize that report somewhat (display based on employee, display based on client, show only billable hours, etc.); however, I could get started right now with very basic functionality.
(release early, release often)
I would rather have something weak and functional right now, than to wait another 7 months for something awesome.

If you have been following time tracking threads don't expect anything anytime soon. Have you not noticed that they don't even give updates anymore on time tracking. You should have just voted.
