CHD-359 was closed in JIRA, but the issue wasn't actually addressed. We need inline, non-customer-viewable comments back, and we need to be able to add inline comments to a ticket thread by e-mailing into the system with a [comment] tag in the subject.

Please reopen the issue and reimplement inline comments. The comments on a separate tab are not an acceptable replacement for us; we need them visible in the main thread.

George, strictly speaking, CHD-359 is done. I understand that it doesn't have all the functionality/features you desire, so I have added a couple issues for you.

I don't want to nitpick, but I don't see how it's done. Here's the description of the issue:

Many people still seem to prefer having chronological comments co-mingled in the message thread for a ticket. Notes are meant to call attention to a specific message (and ultimately be consumable) so they don't handle this requirement very well.

Once done, a migration tool needs to be provided to import Cerb3 comments.

First, the comments currently available in Cerberus 4 aren't chronologically co-mingled in the message thread, they're on a separate tab. Second, is there a way to import comments from a Cerberus 3 helpdesk?

The new JIRA issues you've added are good and address the functionality I'm looking for, but I'm not very happy with the "Trivial" priority you've assigned to them.

I have to agree, this is a major item continuing to hold us back from switching to 4.x over 3.5.

I've reopened the comments issue http://www.wgmdev.com/jira/browse/CHD-359 and changed the title to more accurately relay what we plan to implement at this point.

I had some more things to say in another thread over at http://www.cerb4.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4343#post4343 .

The quick version is that we plan to implement threaded inline comments, and we realize that eventually we're going to have to have a way to import Cerberus 3.x comments into that implementation.
