Could I get an update on this:
http://www.cerb4.com/forums/showthread.php?t=158
http://www.wgmdev.com/jira/browse/CHD-253
I am getting a lot of pressure to find a mechanism for End Users to be able to view the status of their tickets.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with how JIRA, our tracking portal, actually works. You see that field under the title that says 'Fix Version/s' on the CHD-253 page? Now you'll notice CHD-253 is labeled 'Wishlist' which unfortunately means this isn't something were actively fixing for a major upcoming release.
That's not to say it will never be fixed, or that it's too difficult to do, or any other <insert excuse here>. It's simply the developers don't consider it urgent enough to tackle right away.
On the other hand you'll know we're working on something for the near future if it's filed as a milestone. Right now we're pushing towards Milestone #20 and barring any unforeseen setbacks anything in that category will be fixed in the next major release. When a release is loaded into the stable branch it will always be announced here in the forums.
For future reference you can see the entire list of what's upcoming and what's been pushed back by going to this URL:
http://www.wgmdev.com/jira/browse/CHD?report=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.projec t:openissues-panel
Click 'Milestone #20' to see what our developers are currently working on getting resolved.
Click 'Wishlist' to see what's been delayed for the time being.
Aside from stuff we absolutely know needs to be done sooner rather than later, votes play a big part in bumping things from wishlist status to milestone status. Myself and the rest of the staff here go through the "open" list on a regular basis and evaluate issues primarily based on demand vs. design/coding time among other things.
Sorry if it sounds like I'm singling you out but I thought others might see this explanation and won't bother writing in similar questions regarding status updates. I don't mind writing the same "sorry please be more patient" speeches but I'm sure many of you are already sick of hearing these vague responses from me :)
