Custom Fields?

Will custom fields make a return?

Currently the way we use custom fields is this...I have 3 fields on our tickets Invoice Number, Parts Used and Trip Charge.

Invoice number is filled in by AR when they bill the ticket and the techs fill in Parts Used and Trip Charge (I pull those fields in my crystal reports as well)

Will these make a return or have you guys got a better solution?

Hey there!

Yeah, we're planning on adding custom fields back.

The main reason for the delay in adding this feature back to Cerb4 is just making sure we give ourselves enough time to do it properly as a plugin.

We'll likely add a flexible API so custom fields can be associated with any of the major entities (tickets, organizations, addresses). Future plugins could then make use of this custom information to do more specialized things (such as associating with billing data in an outside datastore).

I don't have an ETA for custom fields, but they're on the new 'Top 5' list after e-mail notifications (watchers) and a simple performance report.
