I wanna install Cerb4 on my cPanel server. Is there anything I need to be aware of? We are running cPanel on our server and MailParse isn't an option in WHM when building apache. I'm thinking about installing it using RPM, but anything other than editing PHP.ini will break PHP or WHM apache builder on our server....any ideas? Should I be okay with cPanel?

Hey there!
cPanel should be fine. Although we prefer Debian Etch now without any control panel, our cerberusdemo.com server is using 'Plesk for Linux' which is also rather tightly-coupled to its PHP environment.
Do you have access to either the 'pecl' or 'pear' command at your console? If so, it should be rather easy to install the mailparse extension manually and just edit your php.ini file.
If there is an RPM/package/port for your distro, and you didn't compile from source, you'd certainly be much better off going the RPM route.

I compiled from source with no problems! Just letting anyone with cPanel know that compiling with source does indeed work and doesn't create any issues as far as I can tell...Unfortunately, there is a darn bug with the version of cPanel we are using and it doesn't save cron tasks....hopefully that will get fixed soon.

Awesome! Thanks for the confirmation. :)
cPanel compatibility has always covered a lot of Cerberus users.
